Sea Pines Plantation, Vacation Rentals and Ocean Properties
Harbour Town, the centerpiece of Sea Pines plantation, is where the famous lighthouse (often seen pictured) is located. The Main attraction in Harbour Town is the marina, with it's numerous impressive yachts, and the playground, a favorite for the small children. Several restaurants and shops ranging from T shirt stores to art galleries add to the charm of the marina. Water activities such as fishing, boat rentals, wave runners, cruises , etc. are available here. This is also the venue for Gregg Russell's children's famous entertainment show under the Liberty Oak.
Not far from the Marina is a shopping center called Sea Pines Center, which houses a variety of stores ,two restaurants, a post office, a bank and bicycle rentals.
In between these two landmarks are the Harbour Town Swimming Pool, the Tennis Courts (also a concert venue), and a number of rental housing opportunities.
Even though Harbour Town has a marina it does not have a useable beach, but provisions have been made for free transportation to the beach (read on), or you can get there easily by bicycle.
Parking is available in the various housing units, but for visitors not staying in Harbour Town units, parking is almost impossible during the busy season. Many visitors to Harbour Town get there on bicycles, and Sea Pines offers a free trolley from a very large free parking lot just inside the Greenwood (main) gate. This trolley can transport you between the parking lot, Harbour Town Marina, Sea Pines Center, the Sea Pines Beach Club (where parking is also next to impossible), Plantation Club and the South Beach Marina Village.
Several complexes at or near the world famous Harbour Town Yacht Basin offer 1,2,and 3 bedroom condos with pools and tennis on site or nearby.
